The 123-year-old company, which has offices in Aston and London, won the Outstanding Contribution Award at this year’s industry ‘Oscars’.

J S Wright received the top accolade at the H&V News Awards held in front of a thousand professional award nominees and their guests at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

The award was for going beyond its remit, raising the profile of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning sector, and promoting the industry at large.

The preferred designer and installer of mechanical services for clients and main contractors throughout the commercial, residential, hotel and leisure sectors was also commended for demonstrating best practice in all areas of its business.

J S Wright Managing Director Marcus Aniol stepped up to receive the trophy from the award sponsor Scott Craig of the Pipe Center and star guest Jon Culshaw from BBC TV’s ‘The Impressions Show’ at the climax of the event.

Dennis Flower, H&V News Editor, said: “The H&V News Awards’ Outstanding Contribution category is a collaboration between H&V News and our headline sponsor Pipe Center and I was delighted to nominate J S Wright this year.

“We have regularly reported on its numerous contract wins in recent years, many of which have been on high profile projects, and J S Wright has received highly favourable comments on many occasions in conversations with major contractors and suppliers.”

Marcus Aniol commented: “This is the greatest award in our history. It recognises the investment we put in our staff and processes to move our business forward and the values we place on our people, integrity and health and safety, which are so appreciated by our clients and supply chain partners.”

J S Wright is working on some of the biggest and greenest urban regeneration schemes in London. These include fitting out the services for 980 private luxury and affordable apartments at New Capital Quay in Greenwich Reach, equipping 16-storey 309-home Zenith House in Barnet, and installing the services for a new health and social care centre and 170 apartments in White City.
