40 Miles, 20 Villages, 1 Day – Feckenham 40 returns for the fourth year

Staff at Bromsgrove based advertising agency, Superdream, are preparing to don their hiking boots, and walk 40 miles in one day for two charities.

Feckenham 40 is an annual event, organised by Superdream, which sees walkers from the agency and local area walk 40 miles, through 20 local villages in one day. The agency has raised over £30,000 for charity with this walk in the last four years, and is looking to go one better this year.

Joined by the team at local electricians Barrie Beard, Superdream is hoping to raise over £10,000 for Bromsgrove’s Primrose Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support.

The 2013 Feckenham 40 will take place on Saturday April 27th, with the team of over 30 walkers leaving The Rose and Crown pub in Feckenham at 7am. The gruelling 40 mile route will travel though 20 Worcestershire villages including Hanbury, Stoke Prior and Inkberrow.

Superdream Managing Director, and founder of Feckenham 40, Jason Manning said: Feckenham 40 is a great opportunity for Superdream to give something back to the local community, and help raise a huge amount of money for two great charities. This is the fourth year we have held Feckenham 40  and, with our friends at Barrie Beard on board, we are determined to raise more than last years’ total of £3,000.”

There is still time to get involved with Feckenham 40; the walkers are currently looking for volunteers to man feeding stations and drive support vehicles on the day. Superdream and Barrie Beard would also love people to walk the final 5 miles with them. They expect to be at the top of Dagtail Lane at approximately 3.30pm.
