Who are the men – and women – in black?

If you’re out and about in the centre of Lichfield next Saturday morning, you could find yourself face-to-face with some rather sinister characters wearing black.  But if you speak to them nicely they could save you money!

Players committee member Ian Davies is pictured with one of the placards.

Cast members of Lichfield Players’ next production, Brian Clemens’ nerve-wracking  suspense thriller Edge of Darkness, will be in the city centre from 11am on Saturday to promote the show.  The play focuses on the mystery surrounding the identity of the central character – is she the real Emma Cranwell or not?  Since there is a question  about who she really is, each cast member will carry a placard featuring just a silhouette – which may or may not be Emma!  Players committee member Ian Davies is pictured with one of the placards.

They will also be handing out promotional leaflets – and if you take your leaflet to the Garrick Box Office on Saturday you’ll save £2 on every ticket booked for the opening night, so you could see a thrilling evening’s entertainment for just £8 instead of £10.

Edge of Darkness, directed by Dawn Nicholson, takes to the stage in the Lichfield Garrick Studio from Tuesday 19 March to Saturday 23 March: performances begin at 7.30pm and tickets are available from the Lichfield Garrick Box Office.
