Dramatic Dickensian Christmas

Theatre Company “Don’t Go into the Cellar!” is bringing a dash of classic Victorian ghostliness to Birmingham and the Black Country this Christmas.

Charles Dickens’ Feast of Festive Frighteners sees Messrs Grubb and Snodgrass lead the audience through a gallery of horrors beyond measure! Incorporating elements of Charles Dickens’ finest Christmas ghost stories, items that have been pawned in Grubb’s old curiosity shop each has a weird tale to tell…

The theatre company has only been active for the past year, and has already established itself as the UKs only professional troupe that specialises in original Victorian ghost and horror tales, Music Hall revivals and Steampunk shows.

Artistic Director Jonathan Goodwin is pleased Cellar is bringing a traditional festive show with a twist to audiences at venues across the region, including Dudley, Oxfordshire and Birmingham. “Our shows promise unexpected twists and turns, with ghoulish humour and aplomb! Dickens is everybody’s favourite author at the festive season, and we look forward to giving audiences a Fright Christmas this year!”
