What’s On at the Robin

Monday sees the next heat in the Robin/M2 studios live band of the year competition, featuring Mantis Defeats Jaguar, Seeleys, Jazz Ole and the Limelight. Tickets £3.

On Tuesday the Robin hosts up and coming Scottish synth pop band Gogobot, with support from the Joy Division-influenced Isolated Atoms and local electro duo Pharmatronik. Tickets £8.

Wednesday promises to be interesting with the arrival of Blaze & Jase Unplugged, featuring former Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley and ex-Wolfsbane/Wildhearts guitarist Jase Edwards giving some of their back catalogues an acoustic workout. Tickets £8.

On Thursday there’s the second of the week’s electro-attractions with underground synth/guitar band Tenek supported by Wonderful Life and Future Perfect. Tickets £8.

Friday sees Simple Minds tribute Alive & Kicking. Tickets £5.

On Satuday there’s a charity night with classic rockers Tranzam performing in aid of Cancer Research UK, and support from several local musicians. Tickets £5.
