Housebuilder launches 1000-home vision

Spitfire Homes will bring together new range and existing Bespoke Collection.

Solihull housebuilders Spitfire have announced plans to deliver more than 1,000 homes as part of a new strategy to increase the brand’s reach across the Midlands.

Unveiling Spitfire Homes as part of a refreshed brand strategy and new range of homes, the move will open the business up to a wider customer base.

Since launching a decade ago, Spitfire has developed a reputation for delivering premium homes in some of the country’s most desirable addresses. Privately owned as part of IM Properties, its new direction – coupled with an appetite to deliver – has led to a land spend commitment in excess of £60million.

The housebuilder’s ambitious development pipeline is supported by the introduction of a more varied product range, targeting a broader market. However, the brand will retain its signature approach, pledging to continue to create design-led developments across all of its sites, with recent acquisitions set to deliver circa 1,000 homes.

Planned developments span locations including Gloucestershire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire, highlighting Spitfire’s reach and ambitions for the Midlands. The gross development value of the brand’s pipeline tops £350million, further demonstrating its commitment to the region.

Ben Leather, Managing Director at Spitfire (pictured), said: “Spitfire has built a name for itself over the last decade for creating design-led, unique, premium and high-specification properties in some of the UK’s most sought-after locations under the Spitfire Bespoke Homes marque.

“With growing demand for our homes, and everchanging market requirements, we want to bring Spitfire’s clear design-led approach to a wider marketplace. Spitfire Homes will bring the best of both worlds, opening up our new product range to a much larger audience, while continuing to develop our signature properties as part of our Bespoke Collection. Both will be evidently Spitfire, carrying our trademark ethos and the principles that we are recognised for. This is an incredibly exciting time for our business, and I am excited for what the future holds for Spitfire Homes.”

Remaining true to its roots, the firm will continue to offer premium residences as part of its ‘Bespoke Collection’. Among them are the recently acquired Beaufort, in leafy Edgbaston, Birmingham and Mirabelle, in Eckington, Worcestershire – both with homes available for purchase in the coming months.

To further grow its portfolio, Spitfire is also actively seeking land opportunities within a sixty-minute drive time from its headquarters in Solihull.

Leather added: “We are immensely proud of the history Spitfire has written in the past ten years, and these plans mark a significant milestone for the company.”
