Two-year deal signed to expand company’s services to airport.
A West Midlands executive travel firm has added to the growing roster of major airlines it serves from Birmingham Airport after agreeing a two-year deal with KLM.
LandFlight, which is based in Solihull, has worked with airlines operating out of Birmingham for more than thirty years, providing daily transport for pilots and crews between hotels and terminals. It has now added KLM Royal Dutch Airlines to a list which also includes carriers such as Air India, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and FlyBe.
KLM, which is the flag carrier airline of the Netherlands and has its hub at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, is the oldest airline in the world still operating under its original name. Employing 32,000 staff, KLM generated revenues of €10 billion in 2016 and operated worldwide flights with more than 200 aircraft.
LandFlight director Danny Matthews said: “As with all of our airline clients, providing a reliable, comfortable and professional service is paramount and we will strive to provide a similarly high-quality service to KLM. The announcements follow a year of growth for LandFlight, which recently announced a £330,000 investment in new vehicles for its fleet, which now stands at more than 30 cars, coaches, buses and MPVs.
