Birmingham Jazz to host new festival

Two days of world-class jazz in the Jewellery Quarter.

The 3rd and 5th November will see a new venture for Birmingham Jazz with the Crossing Boundaries festival. This two-day event links jazz and other art forms that use improvisation. The essence of jazz is the unique love of improvised performance and that emotion is also present in flamenco, poetry, tango and Indian carnatic music.

Using the two performance spaces of the Blue Orange theatre and regular venue the 1000 Trades, both in the Jewellery Quarter, you can experience world-class music, singing and dancing. Included are three workshops with a chance to understand the terms and techniques and maybe have a go yourself.
