Car chases, electronic gadgets and martinis mixed to order will be amongst the Bond clichés tackled by comedian Gavin Robertson in a captivating one man show coming to Artrix on 20th November. In Robertson’s latest physical cartoon style adventure, Bond will meet his greatest arch-villain yet – Ian Fleming himself, courtesy of a time-machine and the smallest car chase (n)ever seen.
Gavin’s brand of physical comedy has gone around the world with past productions such as the Six-Sided Man, Spittoon and 2010 A Space Oddity which have toured around the world.

Paul Foot’s recent shows and tours have garnered a string of five star reviews and successive Barry Nominations at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. “Inspired, surreal and incomprehensibly funny”, he is a true original, challenging comedic convention at every turn and delighting his connoisseurs.
A BBC New Comedy Award and Daily Telegraph Open Mic winner, he is well known for his appearances on TV wearing his trademark silver suit. Paul is a regular on shows such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Russell Howard’s Good News.
In his new show Words, Paul delights in the idiosyncrasies of the English language and takes the audience on a madcap journey of fun and absurdity.

In 1973, Genesis released one of the crowning glories of the British prog-rock movement. Selling England by the Pound remains a dazzling and beguiling collection of fables and fairy tales, combining pastoral folk with a hard-rocking edge and topping it all off with a very English brand of whimsy. The album gave Genesis their first Top 40 hit single, I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe), providing Pan’s People with surely the only opportunity of their careers to perform a Top of the Pops dance routine to a song about lawnmowers.
Forty years on, ReGenesis – one of the world’s finest Genesis tribute bands – are celebrating the album’s anniversary by performing Selling England by the Pound in its entirety, using it as the centrepiece of a rich and varied set that encapsulates the spirit of the band’s early Peter Gabriel-fronted years. Since forming in 1994, ReGenesis have won acclaim for their authentic, dramatic and colourful live shows, even earning a place in Mojo Magazine’s ‘Top Ten Tribute Bands’ feature.

Andy Fairweather Low’s pedigree is the stuff rock dreams are made of. He first came under the spotlight as the lead singer in Amen Corner, clocking up hit after hit. Since those early days Andy has gone on to work with Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, David Crosby, Elton John, Roger Waters, Dave Gilmour, the Who, BB King, Joe Cocker, Steve Winwood and hundreds more.
Inevitably, Low was tempted to return to the studio in his own right. That time came in 2006 with Sweet Soulful Music which signalled a welcome return for one of the UK’s most distinctive artists.
His current band The Low Riders are a who’s who of the best players on the rock scene. Joining Andy on drums is Paul Beavis (Thea Gilmore, Robbie Macintosh & Sunday All Over the World). Nick Pentelow on sax has played with numerous blues bands like Juice on the Loose and Diz & the Doormen and on bass is long standing associate Dave Bronze (Clapton, Concert For George, Dear Mr Fantasy tribute to Jim Capaldi).
