Cadbury World catches dance fever

Olympic dancers are headed for Bournville.

There’ll be dance fever at Cadbury World next month, as the popular Birmingham tourist attraction stages the final instalment of its popular Dance Weekend for 2013.

On Saturday 7th and Sunday 8 September, dance acts across the region will come together to get Cadbury World visitors up on their feet, with special performances from talented local dancers including Sky’s Got To Dance finalists, Antics. An all-male dance group from Birmingham, Antics also performed at last year’s Olympic Torch Relay celebrations. Since then, the boys have been busy impressing visitors at Cadbury World this year with their funky self-taught moves.

Antics will be performing throughout the weekend and will be joined by dance troupes from across the West Midlands, including Birmingham groups Animations Dance School, Bubble Cheerleaders, Saints Dance Crew, Beverley Strong and the Arcadian Youth Dance Company, as well as troupes from Solihull, Dudley and Smethwick.

Diane Mitchell, marketing manager at Cadbury World, said: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming Dance Weekend back to Cadbury World for the last show of the year. All the performers have proved such a big hit and they bring such a positive energy with them, I can’t wait for them to dazzle all our visitors again!”
