Families are invited to take part in a spectacular Easter Egg Hunt being held by international animal welfare charity The Donkey Sanctuary on Sunday 1st April at 11am to help raise funds for its Birmingham donkey assisted therapy centre.

The centre in Sutton Park provides donkey assisted therapy for children with additional needs from across Birmingham and its Parents and Friends Association is organising the fun Easter event to raise funds so that it can continue its free service.
Centre manager Sue Brennan says: “Families at our Easter Egg Hunt will be searching for eggs hidden inside the centre and around the grounds outside. As well as taking part in the Easter fun, you’ll be able to meet our 20 gorgeous donkeys who will be more than happy to welcome you for cuddles.”
The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 11am and will be open until 2pm, there is a charge of £1 per person for taking part in the event. To book a place, please contact the centre on 0121 354 9444.
Visitors will also be able to adopt a donkey from the centre on the day. Adopting Charlie, Oscar, Donk Dean or Moses will make an unusual Easter present that is not only a healthier option than the usual mountain of chocolate, but also helps the centre to bring children with special needs in contact with donkeys to have fun and to gain from the therapeutic benefits from riding, such as improved motor skills, hand and eye co-ordination and body posture.
