Robin announces new ticket partnership with Gigantic.
The Robin, Wolverhampton’s iconic music venue which has played host to names like China Crisis, Slade, Billy Ocean, The Beat, and Maxi Priest has announced a new ticketing partnership with Gigantic. This exciting new venture has been crafted with the customer at the forefront, eradicating many ticketing charges imposed by most ticketing companies.
With the partnership beginning in early November, both parties have worked together to ensure a smooth transition from The Robin’s previous ticketing partner. Going forward, Gigantic will be the headline provider of tickets for their full programme of shows. However, tickets previously purchased from other outlets will still be valid for upcoming shows.
The Robin aims to make attending their future events easy, stress free and enticing with Gigantic’s e-tickets. Now, only a 10% booking fee applies for their programme of events, with original acts across a broad spectrum of genres, tributes to household names and even guest appearances for Q&A evenings. By switching to e-tickets, customers will have their tickets instantly accessible on their phone as well as reducing the carbon footprint generated by physical tickets.
The Robin management comment on this partnership: “Stepping into 2023, The Robin will be more customer-focused, pricing tickets for our shows keenly where we can and working with partners like Gigantic to reach new audiences. We’ve listened to customer feedback who felt some of the ticketing charges were excessive. Now, there will only be a 10% booking fee which we are delighted with.”
They continue: “The team at Gigantic have acted swiftly to add our entire calendar to their website and we look forward to working with them well into the future. This partnership will allow us to focus on bringing more great acts to The Robin and ensuring our customers are engaged with the programme.”
Mark Gasson, Managing Director of Gigantic adds: “It’s fantastic to be working with The Robin. We’re excited to have a venue with such a rich history and customer-focused outlook onboard. At Gigantic, we aim to put the customer first and working with everyone at The Robin will allow them to continue to do so.”
With a clear vision for the future, The Robin already has a busy calendar with more shows to be announced in the coming months. Furthermore, they are creating even more diverse programming to attract newcomers and regulars alike. With artists such as Peter Cox of Go West, Danny Vaughn of Tyketto, Hugh Cornwell from The Stranglers, Molly Hatchet, The Wandering Hearts, and Sari Schorr whilst honouring their heritage as they welcome back favourites like T.Rextasy, Fleetwood Bac, Counterfeit Stones, Flash, and Rob Lamberti’s tribute to George Michael.
