Blues draw at home to Swansea with Andy Munro watching.

Blues earned a late but deserved point to send the home crowd wild and in the end it was a good result against a Swansea outfit who were undoubtedly the best footballing side to visit St Andrews this season.

We started promisingly and deserved Scott Hogan’s ‘Johnny on the spot’ opener but in the later stages of that first half were chasing shadows against a fluent opposition who exploited our flanks with Graham having the proverbial mare and Longelo showing he is as vulnerable defensively as he is exciting when going forward.

John Eustace has done an excellent job but why he didn’t start with Jordan James as a defensive midfield anchor in place of Beilik was both a mystery and a mistake. We were pulled all over the place and at the back Harley Dean’s organisational skills were sadly missed.

However, Blues rallied in the second half and with both the Juke and the talented George Hall on, our pressure told to earn a point when following our umpteenth corner Dion Sanderson rose highest to nod down to Troy Deeney who also capped an excellent performance to ram the ball home.
