Birmingham LGBTQ+ festival launched

Nightingale club to host a celebration of black music.

Birmingham’s first LGBTQ+ festival celebrating black music will be taking place soon.

LGBTQ+ platforms On Your Gaydar and Wile Out are presenting the Bruk Out Fest from 3pm-10pm on Sunday 1st May. A brand new festival empowering black music and LGBTQ+ talent, it will be taking place at the Nightingale in the city centre.

Aiming to play a leading role in celebrating those of intersectionality, Bruk Out Fest will come together to provide a festival where the community can feel free to celebrate who they are without fear of prejudice. By doing this they will provide opportunities for LGBTQ+ people of colour across the UK, by booking a range of talents; DJs, up and coming artists to spoken word artists, drag and burlesque acts!

The Nightingale’s garden will provide a street party atmosphere where festival goers can feel free and liberated while hearing songs they know and love! The outdoor party will be hosted by a range of LGBTQ+ event platforms who will take over in hour slots, then the bottom floor of Nightingales will showcase the additional amazing LGBTQ+ talent on display.

Performers include: Amaria BB, Keanan, Sophielou, Carter The Bandit, Kaylee Golding, Just Soriah, YShee Black, Reiss Boogie and Daniel Molyneaux. Tickets.
