There’s still plenty to enjoy this month at the Kings Heath venue.
Summer’s nearly over and the Kitchen Garden Cafe in Kings Heath has a few more shows in August before moving on to a packed Autumn programme with many shows being carried forward from last year.
On Friday 20th the venue welcomes Drever McCusker Woomble back together for the first time since 2008, to celebrate the tenth(ish) anniversary of the release of their classic album Before The Ruin. This’ll be a rare, maybe never to be repeated event.
Sunday 22nd sees the return of the “avant-garde musical utopia” that is The Blackheart Orchestra. On Wednesday 25th Gasoline & Matches, hosts of Birmingham’s premier country songwriter night Nashville Sounds in the Round, will be in town.
Finally, to round off the month on Monday 30th, making his debut at the venue is Josh Okeefe, a young guitar-and-harmonica-playing singer-songwriter who delivers unforgettably potent lyrics with the gravitas of a seasoned veteran.
