The result was never in doubt as Blues turned in a masterful display with several players sadly using the match as a swansong following their release. Still, there were plenty of reasons to be cheerful.
Boyd-Munce was a major influence and may well become a first team squad regular on this display. Alongside him, the younger Alfie Chang looked class and either an experience-enhancing loan or even a fringe first team squad place could beckon.
Adan George was the hero with a brace but did struggle in first team friendlies last season so may need a loan period Despite his two well-taken goals, I still think Josh Andrews looks a better bet as the up and coming centre forward. Finally, our £100,000 Man City signing Keyendra Symmonds could be the jewel in the crown and with his pace and skill I would like to see him get a few opportunities on the bench for the first team.
Either way, iy as an excellent result with plenty to be optimistic about for the future.
