Prime Foundation welcomes applications to support community projects in Birmingham.
Charitable funders The Prime Foundation has opened applications from now until 7th May for community projects and initiatives in Birmingham to apply for grant funding of up to £17,850.
Established in 2007, the Prime Foundation provides extra investment in communities where Prime, a health and care property developer, has built new facilities. When a project completes, Prime donates a proportion of its profits to the Foundation, which then ensures the money reaches local initiatives and groups.
Prime is currently involved in the construction of a specialist hospital facility situated on the campus of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. As a result of this project Prime has donated £17,850 to the Prime Foundation, to be distributed to support one or more projects in the area.
The Prime Foundation would like to hear from projects or good causes based in the Birmingham catchment area which match one or more of its aims of; advancing education outside the classroom, promoting good physical and mental health and/or furthering the enhancement of social wellbeing through recreation.
The Covid-19 pandemic has presented a number of challenges to charities and community groups. As lockdown measures ease in England, the Foundation is also keen to hear from organisations looking to adapt, boost or revitalise their activities to enhance lives in the local area.
Leighton Chumbley at the Prime Foundation said: “We’re delighted to be releasing funding for community projects and charities based in Birmingham.
“We believe in supporting local communities and this fresh funding opportunity could be used to launch a new project or support a great cause which enriches lives in the local community.
“We understand many charities and community groups will have taken a financial hit due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are keen to hear from groups who have a plan to support their local community but need a financial boost to make it happen.”
