Shebeats, supporting Birmingham’s vulnerable women.
A brand-new social enterprise has launched in Birmingham, bringing women together to empower one another through fitness, wellbeing and group support. SheBeasts Limited sees fee-paying clients sign up for one-to-one personal training sessions, with profits re-invested into funding group activities for women in refuges across the city.
Whilst helping women improve their fitness across the board, SheBeasts Ltd will also work with women recovering from trauma,
SheBeasts Ltd harnesses the power of ‘rebounding’; a specialised low-impact, high-cardio exercise carried out on mini trampolines that provides boundless health benefits. From helping boost endurance and stimulating the lymphatic system, to strengthening bone density and improving pelvic floor muscles, rebounding’s proven track record of building fitness in women of all ability levels makes it the perfect fit for the programme.
The social enterprise has been founded by business consultant and body builder, Sadie Jones, who is combining her business acumen, philanthropy and love for fitness to launch this much-needed service.
Commenting on the launch, Sadie explains: “Many women across Birmingham, who may have experienced trauma or difficult upbringings, do not have access to wellbeing training and may not be aware of the positive effects it can have on them. The aim of SheBeasts Ltd is to offer a free lifeline to those living in refuges, giving them a greater chance at getting on the right path. This is done through group support, exercise, health skills and mindfulness; all of which can improve not only their lives but also their chances of success in the future.
“I absolutely love training people through rebounding – it is an exercise that still sits massively under the radar in Birmingham but is booming in places like London. There are so many female-specific benefits to rebounding, it is suitable for all ages and fitness levels and, most importantly, it’s great fun.
“My aim is to help as many women as possible feel more empowered as I believe wholeheartedly that building strength and health from within will help us all live strong and happy lives. I already work one-to-one with clients in fitness and nutrition, but now I can do my bit to give back to women who have experienced challenging times.”
To kickstart her campaign to help women build strength from within, Sadie is hosting free taster rebounding classes to showcase its benefits. Places are limited and must be booked in advance here.
Sessions are being held at Moseley School on Sunday 18th October, Saturday 24th October and Sunday 25th October. Following the class, participants will have the chance to sign up as one-to-one clients, funding support for vulnerable women while getting fit and healthy themselves.
