Pioneer group development on schedule to deliver.
Housing developers The Pioneer Group has now completed phase one of the Manor House development on Station Road in Stechford, with building work gathering pace to reach its target of 83 affordable homes.
Phase two of the mixed tenure affordable housing development will see the construction of 24 properties. The timber frames are now in place and all homes are set for occupation early next year.
The Pioneer Group is working in partnership with the UK’s leading mixed-tenure developer, Countryside who are harnessing modern methods of construction to enable accelerated delivery.
Simon Wilson, Chief Executive, The Pioneer Group (pic – right), commented: “Following the success of the first phase of our flagship development in Manor Farm, I am pleased that we have good traction on phase two which will see a further 24 properties making 83 much-needed affordable homes available to meet housing needs and contribute to the regeneration of this part of Stechford.
“The work Countryside has undertaken since the reopening of building sites in June to progress this vital development, whilst taking into account the need to operate safely through social distancing measures, is highly commendable. This £12 million two-phased programme is grant-funded working in partnership with Homes England and the Matrix Consortium.”
The Station Road scheme is the first collaboration between Countryside and The Pioneer Group in order to introduce more high-quality affordable homes for residents across Birmingham.
Gary Belcher, Managing Director, Partnerships South Midlands, Countryside, commented: “This is an important milestone in our blossoming partnership with The Pioneer Group and in the creation of much-needed affordable homes for local people. We are now expediting our efforts following the reopening of building sites at the beginning of June and this milestone is a reflection of the commitment of our team to work efficiently and safely while upholding social distancing. We are proud of the work we have achieved to-date in partnership with The Pioneer Group and look forward to seeing their tenants settled into brand new, high-quality homes next year.”
The new homes will be marketed and managed by Pioneer Places (part of The Pioneer Group), a housing provider that offers a range of quality homes. The Manor House development offers new homes, ranging from two & three-bed houses and flats available for Shared Ownership, Rent to Buy and outright purchase.
