Halloween skeleton bride made from 333 bars of Cadbury’s chocolate.
In celebration of Halloween, Cadbury World’s talented chocolatiers have unveiled their spookiest creation to date – a skeleton ghost bride.
The frighteningly good masterpiece took chocolatiers Dawn Jenks and Donna Oluban two days to create and weighs in at an impressive 15 kilograms – the equivalent of 333 standard bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk.
Cadbury World’s chocolatiers worked with solid white chocolate to sculpt the bride’s eerie figure which stands at a spooktacular 60cm tall. Layers of melted chocolate were hand-piped to create a curled bouffant hairstyle, before a shimmering lustre was dusted across her face to create a creepy glow. Black edible lustre highlights the brides’ eerie eyes, nose and teeth.
A vintage gown was created using melted white chocolate that was carefully hand-piped onto the skeleton bride, which features a chocolate ruffled neckline and sleeves, corset beading and a lace hem. Moulded pieces of white chocolate were shaped into a bouquet of flowers and splashes of black lustre were speckled over the bunch before being secured to the ghoulish figure with melted chocolate.
The final flourish comes from five ghostly wax candles produced out of solid white chocolate featuring drops of liquid chocolate to create a melting candle illusion.
The terrifyingly tasty creation is on display in Cadbury World’s Chocolate Making zone until Friday 20th November as part of its Halloween celebrations, where families are invited to experience plenty of frightful fun with Halloween-themed entertainment at the Bournville-based attraction.
Diane Mitchell, marketing manager at Cadbury World, said: “Our fang-tastic chocolatiers have produced another frighteningly good creation in time for visitors to see at the attraction this Halloween. We look forward to welcoming guests to Cadbury World across the spooky season!”
Visitors can enjoy live entertainment in Cadbury World’s marquee at Freddo’s Haunted Mansion until Sunday 1st November where guests can help the fearsome frog uncover a mystery ghost.
Guests can also sink their teeth into the amazing world of Cadbury through the attraction’s chocolatey zones. Visitors can watch the chocolatiers in action in the popular Chocolate Making zone, before practising their piping skills in the Have A Go zone and experience the feeling of riding the Crunchie rollercoaster in the 4D Chocolate Adventure.
There will also be a range of scarily good treats on offer in The World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop including exclusive hand-crafted chocolate pumpkins.
In line with government guidelines, Cadbury World has introduced a number of additional hygiene and safety measures in all areas. These include reducing the numbers of guests admitted, social distancing measures, enhanced cleaning regimes, plus hand sanitising stations available throughout the attraction.
