Zoom event aims to help Birmingham St Mary’s.
Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice is helping local professionals make new connections with the launch of their first virtual networking event, Virtual Link.
The charity is asking local professionals to donate what they would normally spend on their lunch and join them on Zoom at 12.30pm on Wednesday 23rd September for this unique online event. Upon signing up, delegates have the opportunity to select the top three sectors they would like to connect with, and the charity will tailor the session to ensure break out rooms give
Helen Rawnsley, Partnerships Manager at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, said: “Throughout lockdown, we have all adjusted to working remotely and making new connections virtually. Many virtual networking events assign people randomly into breakout rooms and we wanted to give the business community and opportunity to have a say in who they connect with.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your professional network, with breakout rooms based on targeted groups for individuals you want to meet, all from the comfort of your own virtual office and whilst supporting a great local cause.”
“By donating what you would normally spend on lunch, delegates will be supporting our Hospice when we most need it. All of our services are free of charge to everyone who uses them – including patients, their loved ones and carers – which is why we really do rely on generous donations from Birmingham’s business community to keep our crucial services running. So this is a win win for everyone!”
