The fresh website www.woburnsafari.co.uk rollout coincides with the park opening its doors to the public for the first time since the COVID-19 lockdown, under strict social distancing rules.

Abigail Crowley, Marketing Manager at Woburn Safari Park said: “Freestyle were our first choice given their history and background in designing and delivering really customer-focused digital experiences. We were looking for a partner that not only had the technical expertise we needed but also shared the same principles and values as us.

“The work completed by Freestyle for the Woburn Safari Park website is a huge step forward for our customers’ online experience, and we look forward to continuing our partnership, which has been seamless, even under current circumstances”.

Freestyle Marketing Director, Dan Archer, commented: “The work we have done so far with the Woburn Safari Park team has looked to reflect the five-star customer service the Woburn Estate businesses offer to their customers, but this time in the digital space. The real-life experiences Woburn customers receive are attentive, well-thought-through and class-leading in their sectors, and our aim as their digital partner was to translate and evolve these experiences into the digital space.”

The Woburn team have chosen Episerver as their technology partner. The industry-leading platform adds features such as personalisation to the digital experience, which will help surface highly-relevant information to the users. Julian Sawkins, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Episerver said: “The Episerver community is excited to power The Woburn Estate’s new web environments, as they take full advantage of Episerver’s Customer-Centric Digital Experience Platform. Working in sync with Freestyle, they’ll leverage the latest digital capabilities including smart AI and best-in-class CMS that will undoubtedly produce a stronger, more indulgent experience.”

Archer continues: “With the lockdown slowly easing off, customer mindsets are still in an alert state, making decisions based on emotions. It’s now even more important for businesses that have been affected by COVID-19 to have digital experiences that craft a connection with their customers, communicate clearly with their audiences and make it easy to make a purchase or an enquiry.”
