Blues and botany

Live music season extended at the Botanical Gardens.

With Henry’s Blueshouse regular live Tuesday performances temporarily closed due to Covid, Henry’s Botanical Blueshouse in Birmingham’s idyllic Botanical Gardens has been going from strength to strength.

Every Sunday afternoon from 4pm, on the splendid Victorian Bandstand, the blues takes over with leading bands who normally play at Henry’s Blueshouse at The Bull’s Head every Tuesday. There’s no additional cost for the music, just the normal Botanical Gardens admission price of £6.75.

Upcoming bands are:

August
2nd David Moore Blues Band
9th Big Jim & The Alabama Boogie Boys
16th Chickenbone John & Harmonica Dave
23rd The 58s Blues Band
30th C Jam

September
6th Foregate Street Blues Band
13th The Catfish Kings
20th The Nitecrawlers

Getting in won’t cost any more than the Garden’s usual admission price plus booking fees, though to keep the venue at a safe capacity, advance booking online is essential. Tickets are already on sale for the 2nd and 9th August, so don’t delay.
