Cornbury Music Festival announces its full line-up

A musical rainbow in the Cotswolds.

If you want to feel colourful and full of summer vibes have a look at Oxfordshire’s much-loved Cornbury Festival, all set to deliver a complete spectrum of sensational music over the July 10-12th weekend.

Adding to already-announced Van Morrison, Dido, Jack Savoretti, The Waterboys and Kid Creole, Cornbury’s Sunday night headliner will be Irish singer songwriter and all-round superstar Ronan keating, who will be joined by legendary US troubadours America.

The Cornbury weekend features a glittering line up, starting on Friday 10th with the Aurora Orchestra – the coolest 30 piece classical troupe, who’ll be playing the magnificent Vivaldi’s Four Seasons before Van Morrison and Dido take to the stage later that day. A cracking rocky groove will be cooking up on the 2,000 capacity Songbird Stage with acid jazz funksters Brand New Heavies, ska legends The Dualers and indie rockers The Magic Numbers.

Heritage rocker & ace guitarist Andy Fairweather Low heads the supporting cast on Saturday July 11th with Colombia’s finest Grammy Award winners Monsieur Perine, up and coming New Yorkers Lawrence, Chanson Francaise devotee Miel de Botton, new rock goddess Amy Montgomery and perennial festival favourites The Overtures and The Dunwells.

“It’s truly our most diverse line-up ever,” says organiser Hugh Phillimore, “a proper variety show for all ages & tastes – Cornbury’s musical rainbow if you like”.

And what better to way to top up this pot of the gold than with Cornbury’s favourite country twins Ward Thomas joining the Sunday line-up with rising star Twinnie bringing some extra glamour to the day. Liverpudlian pop stars The Real Thing will be celrbrating their fiftieth glorious year, part of the Cornbury furniture Staks Band appear with yet another special surprise guest and fellow Liverpudlians The Christians bring their Harvest for the World.

Ronan Keating’s just announced tour is already almost sold out and his new album 2020 will be released in May, all while continuing to present London’s most popular MAGIC breakfast show. America will make their first UK festival appearance with Ventura Highway and Horse With No Nameset to ring out across Cornbury’s beautiful Cotswold valley.

The Cornbury Music Festival retains a spirit of independence and the feel of a glorious garden fete, despite having featured a huge host of big names since its first edition in 2004 including Paul Simon, Robert Plant, Amy Winehouse, Bryan Adams, Blondie, The Beach Boys, Bryan Ferry, Jamie Cullum, Olly Murs and Jools Holland. The festival retains an intimate and boutique atmosphere, rated as one of the safest, family friendly festivals in the UK.
