Art strategy takes centre stage at local hospital.
Birmingham gallery Castle Fine Art has announced that its community giving focus for 2020 will be Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.
The gallery group first formed a relationship with the charity during 2018 when it launched its Out To Play appeal to raise funds for the children’s playground,
This partnership is set to continue during the coming year, as part of Birmingham Children’s Hospital’s soon-to-be announced Art Strategy, which is intended to leverage the very real benefit of art therapy in its many guises. Castle Fine Art will support a number of initiatives designed to raise funds, promote awareness and improve the experience of children receiving treatment at the hospital.
Daniela Quinlan, Head of Marketing for Castle Fine Art, said: “As a company, we recognise and champion the myriad benefits of engaging children with the arts. We established our campaign for that very reason, and – being a Birmingham-based company – having the Children’s Hospital as our charity partner for 2020 is a source of immense pride for all concerned.”
Saranne Moreno, Corporate Strategic Partnerships Manager for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We’re delighted to have been chosen as Castle Fine Art’s charity partner for the year. Our hope is to use art throughout our whole hospital to transform the environment for the hundreds of children and young people who visit here every day, impacting on their healing and overall sense of well-being. We look forward to working with Castle Fine Art to achieve this.”
