Blues win 3-2 with Andy Munro impressed with what he sees.
Every so often there’s a beautiful and unforgettable moment in a match and this time it was a free kick from newbie Jeremie Bela.
Yet before this Blues had to overcome adversity against a Reading side buoyed up by a good win the week before featuring a hat-trick predictably from a former Blues target. Firstly, Clarke-Salter looked to have dislocated a shoulder, which is a real blow to a young talent who had seized his chance with Robbo’s injury. Add to this the talented Dan Crowley going off with a hamstring problem (hopefully minor) and the odds looked long on getting one point never mind three.
Yet out of this adversity came some real plus points. Wes Harding did himself a real favour with an excellent performance and
It was good to see Alvaro Giminez getting another goal with the Juke being rested for the Chrstmas games rush coming up. Having said that we probably need a quick central attacker and now possibly a loanee defender depending on Robbo and Clarke-Salter’s latest medical reports.
Either way we are only four points from the play-offs so maybe we can start to dream again. The caveat, of course, is that the Championship is just one big banana skin!
