Success for language education franchisers.
A franchise business that inspires young children to love languages has come out on top in six separate award categories. Through interactive learning via songs, games, Makaton, active story-telling and let’s pretend, children from birth to the age of 11 are learning French and Spanish and building their confidence and communication skills.
This month marks six years in business and the team at Kidslingo were able to celebrate in style by winning six awards. Kidslingo has its Head Office in Birmingham and was announced winner in five awards at the What’s On 4 Kids Awards, as well as taking the Best Franchisor title at the Best Business Women Awards.
The What’s On 4 Kids Awards celebrate the UK’s most exceptional kids’ clubs and classes as voted for by the parents and carers. This year a massive 80,000 people voted with Kidslingo being crowned the UK’s Most Loved Creative and Academic Activity.
The award was presented to Anna Neville, Kidslingo CEO, by Dr Amanda Gummer a regular TV expert on childhood and parenting issues and founder of Fundamentally Children, FUNdamentals and Good Toy Guide Ltd, all of which promote the value of play and positive parenting in child development.
In addition, four more winner’s trophies were scooped by Kidslingo franchisees for Most Loved Activity Leaders in Scotland and N Ireland, North of England, East of England and Wales, West & South West England.

Language learning is such a vital skill for children as global citizens. We are honoured to be able to inspire over 15,000 children every week to love languages via our specialist network of over 120 franchisee and tutors. The 4 franchisees, who won individual awards, are inspirational and we are so proud to have them on team Kidslingo.”
The What’s On Awards proved that Kidslingo is much regarded by parents looking for a quality activity for their children. On the same day, Anna Neville was awarded Best Franchisor at the Best Business Women Awards, proving that it is a great business opportunity for those looking to run their own language franchise. The Best Business Women Awards is a prestigious competition which seeks to find the very best female business talent from across the UK.
Debbie Gilbert, organiser of The Best Business Women Awards says: “This is a tough competition judged by business experts. To win is a major achievement. Winners were selected for their business acumen, determination, creativity and tenacity. Our winners are shining examples of being amazing entrepreneurs who have proved their success to our judges and have showed they have the ingredients worthy of being recognised and rewarded.”
On selecting Kidslingo as the winner, the judges said: “Franchising your business is not easy and takes time and dedication. The winner was chosen because this was a well-rounded fantastic franchise showcasing key USPs and a growing network of franchisees. This is a business with multiple revenue streams and great support to aid franchise partners with the growth of their businesses.”
With a team standing at over 120 franchisees and tutors, Kidslingo runs hundreds of classes and teaches thousands of children per week. The multi-award winning business is expanding rapidly across the UK and always looking for like-minded people to be part of the dynamic and growing team of language teachers.
“I have put my heart and soul into the Kidslingo business over the last six years, building up an amazing team of passionate and dedicated franchisees,” adds Anna. “To receive this level of recognition in just one day was overwhelming and humbling. I am so grateful to the panel of experts who recognised my achievements, contributing to Kidslingo’s sixth birthday being one never to forget.”
