Solihull Fest 2019 competition

Your chance to win tickets to the big event at Tudor Grange.

The countdown is on to the Solihull Summer Fest 2019, taking place at Tudor Grange Park on 27th-28th July. This year’s event will feature all the usual fun and festivities with the new addition of the Hedkandi stage, featuring top electronic and dance music names – and we’re giving you the chance to see it for free.

As always it’s the main festival stage which takes top billing, with some of the biggest names in music over the past forty years appearing.

Saturday has a distinct club feel with disco, funk and soul taking priority. The scene will be set with the return of New York rap pioneers Sugar Hill Gang, plus Mercury Prize-winner Ms Dynamite and the voice of M People, Heather Small.

Also set to appear is Leee John of Imagination, with the Vamps providing a modern pop twist on proceedings while eighties legends Level 42 will be adding their own multi-millionselling brand of funk to the day’s events.

Sunday will be all about partying, with tribute acts leading up to the arrival of ska legends Bad Manners, fronted by the larger than life Buster Bloodvessel. Eighties chart-toppers Go West will be in action, as will the Proclaimers, who are sure to have the crowd singing along with their big hits while the Human League promise to bring the weekend’s fun to a fitting close.

Tickets cost from £45, but you can see all these attractions and more, for free. We’ve got a pair of tickets for each day up for grabs, and to have a chance of winning them all you have to do is answer this question:

What was the title of Human League’s 1981 Christmas number one?

Send your answer, stating which day you would like to attend, to birminghampress@gmail.com by midday on Sunday 21st July. Winners will be notified the following day.
