Visitors to the Mailbox will be able to enjoy the pick of the summer’s sporting and cultural highlights on the big screen, with a programme of special events, music and festivals.

The curated schedule of entertainment will start on Monday 1st July as the centre’s Urban Room is transformed into a comfortable lounge area, complete with a 4m x 2.5m showcasing Wimbledon, followed by a summer of sport including the Formula 1 Grand Prix, Tour de France and The Ashes.

The summer’s most anticipated television moments, including highlights from the Reading and Leeds Festival will be broadcast from the centre. A schedule of children’s films will also be shown to keep the little ones entertained during the school holidays, with family favourites such as Ratatouille and The Parent Trap.

Alongside this, the Mailbox is welcoming the Birmingham Cocktail Weekend (11th–14th July), where guest will try a range of the city’s signature cocktails, including a live demonstration from Maker’s Mark bourbon at the Mailbox’s very own Harvey Nichols. Birmingham International Jazz Festival (19th 8th July) will also return to the centre’s canalside to celebrate its 35th year of live performances.

The Mailbox’s annual food and drink festival, Taste of the Mailbox, will also return this summer from Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th August. From live cooking demonstrations and food sampling, this year’s line-up is set to be bigger and better than ever before.
