Light House to hold first fundraising ball

Wolverhampton cinema raising funds to continue events programme.

Light House, the Black Country’s only independent cinema, will be holding a Fundraiser Ball on Friday 6th September. The buzzing community hub is raising funds to support the #LoveLightHouse campaign, set up to enable the continuation of the iconic Wolverhampton charity’s programme of films and events.
Light House has been a registered charity since 2012, and fundraisers such as the Ball are vital to help it thrive.

The Ball will start at 7.30pm and will be held in Light House’s spectacular covered Victorian courtyard (pictured), with entertainment taking place throughout the evening, a two course meal and drinks on arrival.

Light House CEO Kelly Jeffs says of the event: “We’re very excited to host our First Annual Fundraiser Ball. The courtyard at Light House was made for spectacular events like this – we also use it to host weddings and parties throughout the year. We would encourage everyone to dress up in their finest and join us in celebrating Light House and our #LoveLightHouse campaign.

“There will also be several smaller fundraising opportunities taking place on the big night, including a raffle, so attendees are invited to dig deep into their pockets to help this landmark local venue. If any local businesses would like to show their support for Light House by contributing prizes to the raffle or booking a table to the Ball for their staff, please get in touch with us on 01902 716055.”

A ticket to the Ball is £65, or a table for ten can be booked for £600. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Kelly on kelly@light-house.co.uk or ring 01902 716055. The deadline for booking tables is Wednesday 14th August.
