Cadbury World unveils egg-cellent chocolate creation for Easter.
Chocolatiers at Cadbury World have Easter cracked this year, after creating a special fairyland-themed egg as part of the attraction’s seasonal celebrations.
Produced by Gail Deeley and Sian Patterson over two days, the intricate egg stands at 2.5ft tall and, with a solid chocolate shell up to 4cm thick, weighs around 38kg – the equivalent of 844 standard bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk.
An intricate array of flowers, blades of grass, fairies and a blossom tree have been carefully hand-piped directly onto the egg. A collection of toadstools, beautiful fairy wings and a magical door leading into the tree were then fixed to the egg using melted white chocolate for a stunning 3D effect.
Diane Mitchell, Marketing Manager at Cadbury World, said: “Our artistic chocolatiers are renowned for making magnificent creations to mark a variety of special occasions, and this latest masterpiece demonstrates their creativity and world class skills.
“We can’t wait to welcome our visitors to see the giant egg, and enjoy a day out that’s choc-full of fun!”
Guests visiting Cadbury World over Easter will be able to admire the creation in pride of place in the Chocolate Making zone until Sunday 28th April. Visitors can also enjoy a brand new live stage show, Mr Cadbury’s Parrot and the Missing Mini Eggs, where the audience can help the lovable bird and his co-star presenter find the clues to discover who has been after their precious treats.
On Bank Holiday Weekend, from Friday 19th–Monday 22nd April, Cadbury World is also expecting a visit from the Easter Bunny who will lay out an Easter egg trail through its chocolatey zones with a special prize at the end. Children will also be encouraged to showcase their artistic skills by arriving in their own Easter Bonnet to be entered in a daily competition.
Elsewhere in the attraction, there’s plenty to learn and discover through a self-guided tour of Cadbury World’s chocolatey zones. Head to the 4D Chocolate Adventure zone to experience the sensation of riding on the Crunchie Rollercoaster and diving into a pot of liquid Cadbury Dairy Milk in a cinema experience that’s not to be missed. Catch the talented chocolatiers in action and take a delicious taster for yourself in the Chocolate Making zone, before practicing your piping skills by drawing your name in chocolate in the Have A Go zone.
Guests can take a magical ride through the chocolatey land of Beanville on the Cadabra ride and come face to face with the famous drumming gorilla in Advertising Avenue. No visit is complete without some retail therapy at The World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop – perfect for souvenirs or stocking up on your favourite Cadbury treats for the journey home.
