£5,000 reward offered after Balsall Heath attack

Charity offers reward for information following attack that left victim with brain injuries.

The charity Crimestoppers is today offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information following an attack on a man that left him with severe head injuries, and could lead to permanent brain damage.

The incident occurred on December 4th 2018 when the victim was around the Moseley Road area of Balsall Heath, when he was followed by his attacker into a fast food restaurant. Once inside, the victim was verbally abused..

The abuse then continued out on the street, which resulted in the victim being assaulted and being pushed in front of an on-coming vehicle, leaving him unconscious with severe injuries.

As a result, he remains in hospital with potentially life changing injuries.

Crimestoppers is now offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information the charity receives that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

Pauline Hadley, West Midlands Regional Manager, said: “This was an awful attack that took place and has left a man with injuries that could affect his quality of life for many, many years. That, is what makes this whole episode so sad.
