Free digital workshops aim to get businesses online savvy in 2019.
Businesses whose new year’s resolution is to become more online savvy can learn the secrets of digital success to get ahead of their competitors at two free workshops in
January.
Organised and delivered by the ERDF SME International Growth Project, the two morning sessions will help West Midlands companies that need to be seen or sell online, to reach the two billion plus consumers around the world.
Patrick McCarron, Business Development Manager at West Midlands Chambers of Commerce, said the UK is the third largest ecommerce market in the world, behind the USA and China, making it essential for any small-to-medium enterprises to get to grips with Google.
“The online marketplace has never been more important for any manufacturer, supplier or service provider and these two workshops will put businesses on the right track when it comes to ensuring they are seen by potential customers,” he said.
The Digital Series takes place in January in Telford and is open to any SME in Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, West Midlands, Staffordshire and Warwickshire. It
will be led by Sarah Lumley-Holmes (pictured), digital marketing consultant from Aubrieta Consulting.
The first, on Thursday January 10th, will focus on how to reach a global audience through search engine optimisation, how to research keywords, which online tools you can use to analyse competitors and how to develop a content plan and digital strategy.
It will also look at how to get on online selling platforms, how to identify the best ones for your business and an introduction to selling on Amazon.
The second workshop is on Thursday, January 24th, and will focus on building brand recognition through online advertising, as well as taking participants through Google AdWords, Google Shopping, and Facebook advertising.
Each workshop will take place at Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, Trevithick House, Stafford Park 4, Telford. Places for the workshops are limited. To secure a place, visit here
