Digital leaders in town for Canvas Conference

Global innovators all set to head to Birmingham.

Birmingham-based Canvas Conference is all set to welcome a world-class speaker line-up for its seventh edition, taking place on October 4 at The Birmingham Rep, which will bring global digital design leaders from some of the world’s most disruptive organisations to the city’s growing tech hub.

Organised by digital experience studio 383, Canvas has established itself as an ideal platform for those who design, make and market digital experiences, offering up relevant and innovative learning and networking opportunities.

This year, the speakers’ insider stories are set to resonate with product professionals across a wide spectrum of verticals, from retail, energy and travel and hospitality to m-commerce and cloud-based industries.

Digital innovators from Booking.com, Dropbox, Sainsbury’s, Ends, Labrador, Photobox and Mobilus Labs will therefore take to the stage covering topics such as: the importance of design research; the benefits of implementing design experiences for businesses and their customers; how even 150-year-old organisations aren’t too old to innovate; lessons learned from failures and successes; and how Care, Chemistry and Consistency can be used to motivate and unlock the potential of product teams. The founder of Mobilus Labs, an ex-US Navy, NASA and Lockheed engineer, Jordan McRae, will also share details of his new innovation that is set to fundamentally change the way we use an iconic 140-year old invention to communicate.

Sukhi Dehal (pictured), founder and managing partner of 383 and director of Canvas Conference said: “Canvas Conference gathers speakers from across the globe to deliver very task-focused talks on the customer problems they are solving. By sharing their successes and failures, they help product people create the best digital experiences for their respective organisations.

“We are thrilled to have such a diverse and experienced line-up of speakers at the event this year to shine a light on the important transformational steps being taken in their respective industries, and to inspire and empower the disruptors in the room to make their own journeys of transformation become a reality.”

Making a return to the iconic Birmingham Rep – a meaningful landmark that represents the city’s deep rooted history, culture and capacity to embrace change – Canvas gives a nod to Birmingham’s constant commitment to transformation, and plays an important role in steering digital business conversations towards the heart of England.
