There’s a host of family events at Artrix throughout the half-term holiday.
The Bromsgrove arts centre has two showings of the smash hit family film Peter Rabbit, on Saturday 26th May and Wednesday 30th May at 11am. A great opportunity to catch this popular film, since it’s no longer showing at the big multiplex cinemas, Peter Rabbit stars Domhnall Gleeson, Sam Neil and the voice of James Corden as Peter himself. Peter Rabbit is a certificate PG and tickets cost just £5 per person.
Sunday 27th May sees another sold out Artrix Baby Rave at 2pm and prior to that, older children can experience an Artrix Bubble Disco at 11am. Featuring dancing, glow sticks, games and of course, bubbles, the Artrix Bubble Disco is lots of fun for children aged 5 to 10 years old. This is the first of these events to take place in the Artrix Main Auditorium with a full flat floor and plenty of room for dancing! Tickets cost £5 per child (adults go free.).
On Tuesday 29th May at 1pm, some classic children’s tales are given a fresh twist with an outdoor performance of Old MacDonald and The Three Little Pigs Plus…
Tickets for Old MacDonald and The Three Pigs Plus… are £6 per person or £20 for a family of four and this show is best suited for children aged 4 to 8 years old.
Artrix welcome Tiger Features with their Children’s Film Making Workshop on Thursday 31st May. During this one day course, young people aged 11 to 17 years, will learn how to plan, film and edit (and perhaps even star in) their own short film. This workshop takes place from 10am to 4pm and costs £25 per participant.
