Production to examine stress amongst armed forces.
Exploring the subject of the unseen injuries of war, Vamos Theatre Company returns to Artrix with A Brave Face on Friday 27th April.
Worcester-based Vamos Theatre Company, the UK’s leading full mask theatre company, created A Brave Face from two years of research with ex and serving soldiers, families and health professionals.
Afghanistan 2009:
Ryan is there to see the world, learn a trade, get a life. Training is complete, combat is a buzz; he’s part of a team, and knows his job. But on one particular hot and desperate tour of duty, Ryan sees things he can’t talk about, to anyone. And then, when he returns home, the trouble really begins.
Praised by press and public alike for its consummate full mask skills, engaging storytelling, physical dexterity and emotional insight, Vamos Theatre Company continues to involve and engage audiences across borders and boundaries, taking on challenging themes with poignancy, humour and humanity.
A Brave Face takes place at Artrix on Friday 27th April at 7.30pm and is a co-production between Vamos Theatre Company, Mercury Theatre Colchester and a co-commission with London International Mime Festival.
