Appeal in aid of NSPCC to mark the occasion.
This year, in celebration of World Book Day, Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery restaurants across the West Midlands are gearing up to welcome their share of Willy Wonkas, Fantastic Mr Foxs and Gruffalos through their doors.
Selected restaurants will also have a pop-up book corner, where guests can go and choose a book to give to their children during their visit.
Started in 1997, World Book Day aims to bring together children of all ages to explore the pleasures of reading and provide opportunities for them to have a book of their own. From Harry Potter to Tracey Beaker, World Book Day encourages children to dress up as their favourite characters and discover new books.
Speaking about the World Book Day celebrations, Hayley Willetts, assistant marketing manager of Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery restaurants, said; “We’re excited to have all of our restaurants across the West Midlands involved with our World Book Day celebrations, and we’re looking forward to seeing all of the colourful characters walk through our doors for our bookish breakfast.
“Having the chance to support the NSPCC at the same time as encouraging children and adults to discover or rediscover the joys of reading is amazing, and we hope that everyone, including the adults, are getting their costumes ready!”
