Staff volunteer to handle Red Nose Day calls.
Virgin Media’s contact centres in Birmingham will be enjoying an evening packed with fun activities and competitions as they volunteer to receive donation calls from the public in support of this year’s Red Nose Day on Friday 24th March.
As part of Virgin Media’s longstanding commitment to give back to its customers and their communities, Virgin Media employees across five call centres have dedicated to take over 25 hours of donation calls. Employees at Eagle Court in Birmingham, alongside their friends and family, are also showing their support through a variety of fun activities including raffles and a fancy dress competition.
The event brings together the nation by encouraging people to wear a Red Nose and fundraise for Comic Relief. Comic Relief helps to transform the lives of the world’s poorest communities both abroad and in the UK.
Regional Director for the Midlands, Jo Dutton, said: “There is a great deal of excitement surrounding the evening and all the activities being held. Volunteers at Eagle Court are aiming to raise as much money as possible and help Comic Relief change people’s lives. This is part of our wider Digital for Good strategy, and our promise to make the power of connectivity benefit the communities we are part of.”
With more Virgin Media call centres involved than ever before, Red Nose Day 2017 is set to be a fantastic night of fundraising and fun. In 2015 Red Nose Day raised over £78 million and Virgin Media is proud to be supporting the cause.
