New investment for Millennium Point

Further expansion planned at city meetings venue.

Eastside’s Millennium Point has unveiled plans to invest in a brand new dedicated events space called CONNECT.

Located on Level 2 of Millennium Point, CONNECT will consist of three meeting rooms and a seminar space which can either be booked individually or as an entire events suite with multiple rooms and breakout spaces catering for up to 100 delegates.

The CONNECT meeting rooms will have the ability to be opened up in order to create one large boardroom space, whilst the biggest space – the CONNECT seminar room – will be able host up to 100 delegates theatre style, 40 cabaret and 56 banqueting style.

Millennium Point’s existing multi-purpose events space, the Platform, will be upgraded to enhance its current offering, which includes a built-in bar counter, lounge area and digital signage solutions.

Birmingham-based contractor, ADI Group, has been appointed to carry out the work which aims to be completed by June. Judith Armstrong, CEO of Millennium Point, comments: “Events are a real area of growth for us and over the past four years alone, we’ve hosted over 400 different events.

“This investment in our building will not only cater for the growing demand for flexible events and meetings space in the city, but will further prepare Millennium Point for the arrival of HS2 which will sit right on our doorstep when it opens in 2026.”
