Jewellery Quarter BID brings businesses together

Programme announced for showcase networking events.

Following on from the resounding success of the first two JQ Fusions events in August and September, the JQBID is pleased to announce its programme for the remainder of 2016.

Bringing the best of what the Jewellery Quarter has to offer to the fore, JQ fusions combines two Jewellery Quarter-based businesses every month in one-off events to showcase their work. Organised by the JQBID, the Fusion events have already taken the JQ by storm, giving residents and visitors a way to experience the best that each business has to offer in a fun and sociable way.

The success of the first two JQ Fusions events has set a great precedent for the ones to follow; Dale’s Hairdressing salon was full to the brim in August with people learning how to weave flowers into their hair with the help of In Bloom Flowers, and the Artful Expressions studio played host to Artful Expressions in September, giving people the opportunity to purchase engraved tankards from which to drink their JQ brewed beer.

The next event in the series brings together bar and gallery Ana Rocha with Pure Joy Fitness, due to take place on 5th October. November’s offering will bring together 1000 Trades and Barberology on the 2nd, and St Pauls Gallery will be hosting Rock’n’Roll Brewery on December 7th.

Speaking of JQ Fusions, Kim Loynes, JQBID events manager, says “The Jewellery Quarter has a really great sense of community, and is home to a host of unique and diverse businesses. JQ Fusions showcases the Jewellery Quarter as a place for quality, expertise and independent business. The event series also highlights the variety of businesses within the Jewellery Quarter which is likely to pleasantly surprise people.

“The JQBID works to bring value to the Jewellery Quarter and helps to support business growth within the area. Through JQ Fusions, we’re able to promote businesses to residents and visitors, as well as encourage inter-business relations. By combining businesses with similar target audiences each month, we can offer exclusive one-of-a-kind events, giving everybody who visits the opportunity to discover something new.”
