Further residential development at Longbridge site

New homes underway at Cofton Hackett.

Construction is now underway at St. Modwen Homes’ hugely anticipated new housing development, located off Groveley Lane in Cofton Hackett.

Named Cofton Grange, the new development will deliver 41 homes, made up of a range of three, four and five bedroom properties; with the first homes due to be released for sale this summer. Additionally, Cofton Grange is situated adjacent to Arrow Park which has the River Rea running through it; providing a picturesque setting for the terraced, semi-detached and detached houses.

Dave Smith, Managing Director at St. Modwen Homes, said “Since selling out at our Park View housing development in Longbridge three years ago, we’ve been inundated with enquiries about when we will be starting on our next development in the area. With that in mind, I’m sure that many people will be very excited by the news that construction is now underway at Cofton Grange.”

St. Modwen Homes has worked closely with RPS architects to design ten house types, offering something to suit people on all stages of the property ladder. There are multiple internal layouts and external features, such as balconies and bay windows, for people to choose from, with each design boasting large windows and high ceilings as standard.

Dave said: “When designing Cofton Grange, we wanted to make sure that it felt very green, with the properties surrounded by parks; providing a truly relaxing place for people to call home. Cofton Hackett is a hugely desirable place to live, being just five minutes from the beautiful Lickey Hills Country Park and just a short walk from the many new restaurants and shops – including the largest M&S in the region – that Longbridge town centre has to offer.”

Cofton Grange will continue St. Modwen’s regeneration of Longbridge and will complement those currently being delivered in a joint venture between St. Modwen and Persimmon at Cofton Fields.

St. Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, has invested £300 million into regenerating the former MG Rover site at Longbridge since 2003, equating to £25 million per year. Four hundred family homes have been created along with shops, eateries, offices, the new Bournville College, Longbridge Technology Park and the new Austin Park. St. Modwen Homes is the housebuilding brand of St. Modwen.
