Makeover for Solihull bar.
Solihull’s Metro Bar & Grill has been renamed Met Bar & Kitchen and the highly regarded bar and restaurant relaunched this week with a fresher, more relaxed look.
Chris Kelly and Alastair Tyson bought Metro Bar & Grill to Solihull in 2004, having owned and operated Metro Birmingham since 1997, and the Solihull businessmen have been making subtle changes to the interior design as well as undertaking behind the scenes work in the kitchen at the Warwick Road venue ahead of Met Bar & Kitchen’s opening on Tuesday 20th October.
Chris said: “Following the recent sale of our original Metro Bar & Grill in Birmingham, we wanted to change the feel of our Solihull venue both in terms of décor and menu. People often refer to us as The Met Bar so the new name came easily!
“Met Bar & Kitchen offers a more relaxed dining experience whilst keeping to our contemporary style. We have introduced a less formal menu, one which sees our dishes reflecting the seasons, particularly in the daily changing specials menu. We will also be offering a weekend brunch menu and will be hosting live music in the near future.”
Alastair added: “We are keen for people to feel that they can visit at anytime of the day for a coffee and snack, a sharing plate and a glass of wine – or the full three-courses with champagne or cocktails!”
