Birmingham to Copenhagen flights increase

More Scandinavian flights from Birmingham Airport.

Scandinavian Airlines will increase its Birmingham-Copenhagen frequency from 12 services per week to 16 from June 2016.

The additional four weekly services to the Danish capital will give business travellers more flexibility when travelling to Scandinavia, particularly if they wish to return on the same day.

The additional flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, departing from Copenhagen at 2000 and arriving into Birmingham at 2100. The Birmingham departure is scheduled for 2140, arriving into Copenhagen at 0030.

William Pearson, Birmingham Airport’s Aviation Development Director, said: “SAS is a long standing and valued customer of Birmingham Airport so we are very pleased to see these extra flights on sale, giving our passengers greater flexibility and alternatives when travelling to Copenhagen.”

SAS operates a CRJ900 aircraft on the routes with 88 business and economy seats.

Hans Dyhrfort, SAS Regional General Manager Western Europe, commented: “Strong traffic between Birmingham and Copenhagen has allowed us to increase frequency, with UK passengers travelling to both Copenhagen, or conveniently connecting to the rest of Scandinavia and Europe. The choice of either SAS Go or SAS Plus provides both great value and flexibility when needed, and we look forward to welcoming both new and returning passengers on board SAS”.

SAS has been operating from Birmingham for 26 years and has carried 1.6 million passengers over this time. For further information or to book visit www.flysas.co.uk or call 0871 226 7760.
