Further anniversary celebration for BRB.
The Cadbury World chocolatiers have made their most elegant creation yet, as they unveil a pair of chocolate swans to celebrate Birmingham Royal Ballet’s 25th anniversary and the return of its timeless production of Swan Lake.
Representing the dramatic battle between good and evil in ballet’s greatest love story, the impressive creation features both a milk and white chocolate swan, each weighing over 3kg. Finished off with a white chocolate plaque featuring the iconic coat of arms piped in white chocolate coloured black with bronze lustre detail, the creation will remain on display at Birmingham Hippodrome until the close of Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Autumn season on Saturday 10th October.
With both Cadbury World and Birmingham Royal Ballet celebrating their 25th anniversaries this year, the chocolate creation is the perfect way for two of the city’s most loved Companies to mark their milestone years.
Diane Mitchell, marketing manager at Cadbury World, said: “Our chocolatiers have had their busiest year yet, but we were absolutely thrilled to be able to work with Birmingham Royal Ballet to celebrate both of our anniversaries. We hope visitors to the ballet enjoy seeing our chocolate homage to the iconic Swan Lake!”
Ben Wooldridge, media and PR officer at Birmingham Royal Ballet, added: “The dancers and staff here at Birmingham Royal Ballet have already been flocking around Cadbury World’s beautiful creations and we are so looking forward to sharing them with our audiences too. We are all so grateful to the super talented chocolatiers for their incredible 25th anniversary gift.”
The chocolatiers will be putting their skills to the test again very soon as they prepare to make a show-stopping festive creation for the upcoming Christmas Celebration Weekends.
Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Swan Lake runs at Birmingham Hippodrome until Tuesday 6th October. The Company also perform a triple bill from 8th-10th October titled Variations which includes George Balanchine’s Theme and Variations, the very first ballet danced by Birmingham Royal Ballet after its permanent relocation to the city in 1990.
