Search for a hero

Celebrating Birmingham’s unsung heroes.

Do you know somebody who is always doing amazing things for others and deserves to be celebrated and shouted about? Do you know an unsung hero?

The Fort Shopping Park is asking their shoppers to tell them who those great people are and nominate them as the new ambassadors for The Fort’s summer campaign.

The out-of-city shopping destination wants to celebrate people within the city’s communities who are going the extra mile. Are they doing great work for a charity, selflessly looking after others or, a community figure like a teacher or nurse? Whoever they are, The Fort wants to hear about them via their Facebook competition which launches today.

As The Fort ambassadors, the chosen heroes will appear within a campaign and be involved in lots of fun activities too; from being pampered and styled for the summer shoot to attending events, reviewing new restaurant menus and writing blog posts for the website. They will also win a fabulous pamper spa day courtesy of the New Hall Hotel and Spa in Sutton Coldfield.

The three final ‘heroes’ will join the line-up of previous local campaign ambassadors which have included a local family, dohl drummers and a father and daughter BMX duo.

Marjan Horne, manager of The Fort said: “We know there are some amazing people in our city who are doing wonderful things to help others. Here at The Fort, we are passionate about supporting and celebrating our local community; from working with local primary schools to supporting football teams and dance schools, we are always looking at how we can give something back to the city!”

To nominate a Fort Unsung Hero simply share a photo of him or her on the Fort Facebook page or upload on to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #THEFORTHEROES and tell why they are so special and deserve to be the Fort’s face of the summer. You can also enter via www.thefort.co.uk
