Millennium Point welcomes business leaders for celebration of region’s manufacturers.

Thousands of visitors and business leaders from across the city gathered for Birmingham Made Me – the annual event which celebrates the design-led manufacturing capabilities and achievements originating in the Midlands.

For the third year running, Eastside’s Millennium Point played a key role as partner and host to the four-day event which took place from Monday, 15th June to Friday, 19th June 2015.

Led by Birmingham City University and Idea Birmingham, the event brought together well-known businesses and thought leaders from a wide range of sectors, including automotive, education, engineering and design to showcase the region’s exciting success stories through a series of events, demonstrations, performances and displays.

Philip Singleton, CEO of Millennium Point, says: “Birmingham Made Me is a key highlight for Millennium Point each year as it proudly brings together companies to celebrate the innovation and creativity behind the UK’s premier manufacturing region.

“We were delighted to host the event once again this year and welcome thousands of visitors who had the chance to share good practice and their key achievements.”

Taking place within Millennium Point’s five-storey central atrium, Birmingham Made Me also created a central ‘Design Expo’ experience, which showcased displays from leading names including Acme Whistles, Aga Rangemaster and Sadler’s Brewhouse.

On the Wednesday and Thursday evening, the Innovation and Design Awards Celebration Dinner brought together 300 guests to recognise the accomplishments of individuals and companies working in the sector.
