Discover Anne Frank’s story at Millennium Point

Exhibition will highlight Holocaust victim.

Eastside’s Millennium Point has announced it will host The Anne Frank Trust’s flagship exhibition, Anne Frank and You, next month.

From Friday 19th June to Wednesday 15th July, visitors will be encouraged to challenge prejudice and hatred at the exhibition which will present the lessons of Anne Frank’s inspirational story to the 21st century.

Now in its 10th year, the exhibition will examine the story of Anne Frank and her now famous diary through photographs, videos and extracts. As well as featuring a life-size replica of Anne Frank’s bedroom in the secret annexe, a range of interactive panels will consider the impact of prejudice in today’s society, exploring contemporary stories such as racism in football and the inspirational courage of Pakistani schoolgirl and now Birmingham resident, Malala Yousafzai.

Neil Anderson, director of marketing, events and communications at Millennium Point said: “We’re honoured to have been chosen by The Anne Frank Trust as the venue for its flagship exhibition, Anne Frank and You.

“We’re all familiar with the story of Anne Frank but this exhibition tells it in a very different and contemporary way, not only in the way it presents the story physically, but also in the current issues it makes comparisons to. As a venue that’s all about learning and creative thinking, I’ve no doubt this compelling and thought-provoking exhibition will capture the interest and curiosity of our visitors.”

The exhibition is free to enter and will be held in at Millennium Point’s Level Two concourse between Six Eight Kafé and ThinkTank. For more information, please visit www.millenniumpoint.org.uk or www.annefrank.org.uk.
