Dance and comedy are the order of the month.
Fans of contemporary dance have plenty to look forward to at Artrix this May.
Bridging the Void which combines film, dance and music is inspired by the Native American saying “Every night is followed by sunrise”. From darkness, through sunrise to dawn, the performance unfolds around the audience, who are invited to wander, encounter and react to the production as it develops. Each person’s experience will be unique and personal.
EDge is a versatile, feisty dance company who will be performing four dramatically different dance works by internationally renowned and up-and-coming choreographers. This mixed bill features Bankby Siobhan Davies and three new special commissions brought to life by this explosive company of fresh, energetic dancers.
Experiential presents Bridging the Void in the Artrix Studio on Saturday 9th May at 7.30 pm. Tickets cost £10.00.
London Contemporary Dance School presents EDge15 on Friday 15th May at 8.00 pm and tickets cost £12.00 (£10.00)
There’s also comedy, with two shows from Barnstormers. Three top comedians from the London circuit will appear each night and Barnstormers prides itself on finding the funniest and silliest stand-ups around.
