Some legendary names will be taking to the stage.
Prog rock fans and ageing hippies will be attracted by events at the Robin over the next few weeks.
First up on Wednesday 8th April is a rare solo show by agit rocker and free festivals veteran Edgar Broughton. More usually seen with a band in a career stretching back almost half a century, Edgar draws on influences ranging from Buddhist chants to Scandinavian reindeer herders as well as the hard rocking blues with which he made his name.
Tickets £13
Then on Thursday 16th April comes a return to the Robin for legendary Yes guitarist Steve Howe in an acoustic show. Expect to hear some of Steve’s extensive back catalogue of solo material, much of which is found on a new anthology of his work, as well as fresh compositions and re-workings of Yes classics.
Tickets £20
There’s another Robin favourite appearing on Sunday 19th April. Curved Air featuring original members Sonja Kristina and Florian Pilkington-Miksa have enjoyed a fresh lease of life since reforming in 2008. Since then they’ve toured regularly and last year saw the release of North Star, their first studio album since 1976.
Tickets £15
