Violinist to perform The Hendrix Project for Human Aid charity.
The Assembly in Leamington Spa have announced that they will host a very special charity concert by legendary violinist Nigel Kennedy on Monday 9th March.
Nigel Kennedy will be performing his acclaimed The Hendrix Project for no fee as the opening event of a series of Human Aid charity concerts organised by internationally renowned barrister Michael Mansfield QC.
The series will raise money for 3 charities – Medical Aid for Palestine, Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) and The Childrens Air Ambulance Service.
Michael Mansfield QC says, “I am delighted that Nigel has kindly agreed to be part of this ambitious and unique project and believe it is an excellent way to start our human aid fundraising campaign which will continue between 7th and 11th April 2015. The people not only of Royal Leamington Spa, but the wider area, will enjoy the diversity this event will bring to the Assembly Rooms.”
The shows promoter’s, Anna Christian Productions, added, “We are thrilled that the sought after talent that is Nigel Kennedy has agreed to kick start our fundraising campaign, by generously offering his services free of charge in order to raise money for his preferred charity, Medical Aid for Palestine. Those lucky enough to obtain tickets will be enthralled as he performs his Hendrix Project.”
